As the great architect, Le Corbusier, put it: ‘’Architecture is the masterly, correct and magnificent play of masses brought together in light.“

There are plenty of reasons why lighting matters and when it comes to lighting design, there are a tons of products from where you can choose. This is why the most important question is how you know which one is the right one for your house.

It is common knowledge by know that you can change a room entirely using the right lightbulb. Here you will find some tips and tricks to keep in mind when you work with light to efficiently brighten up your days and nights.

Track Lights

1.Lighting and atmosphere

Keep in mind that lighting can change instantly the mood of a room. Right from the start you should think about the atmosphere of each room you want to light up. You might want some warm cozy light next to your bed for when you still want to read your favorite book before going to sleep. If you have a habit of working late you will need fresh light that keeps you going.

2.Shape and size of the space

Lighting can also alter the shape and size of a room. Bright light reflecting on bright colored walls make a small room look bigger. It is also the same with recessed lights that add a soft, vibrating light to the space and make it seem larger.

3.Multiple light sources

You won’t have only one light source in a room. You can have table lamps, wall fixtures, pendants, floor lamps or recessed lightings. Play with all this. They can resonate with the mood of your room or maybe add something exotic with a geometric pattern or a distinctive form. For something unconventional we propose spotlights. With this system you can put the light on important elements in your house. They will definitely transform your dressing into a fashionable showroom.

4.Play with forms

Besides the functional part, lighting fixtures should be an integrated part of your design for the room. This is why we encourage you to play with forms and materials.  For example, just imagine this cylindrical pendant where each shade has its unique finish right in your kitchen.

Think about lighting as the most important factor to your wellbeing and integrate it from the first stages of the design. You will do yourself a favor.
