#TON introduced the Leaf armchair at #SalonedelMobile2019 as an addition to the successful #Leafcollection designed by the Italian studio E-ggs. Judges for the #GermanDesignAward2020 have named the armchair a winner in the Excellent #Product Design – Furniture category. This is the second German Design Award for the Leaf collection; the #chair and #barstool were selected in the same category in 2017.

The compact armchair made from visually-light pressed plywood follows the same graceful curves of the other pieces in the collection. Leaf is about returning to nature – in the choice of materials, design elements, and the applied craftsmanship. Trees and their leafy parts are the inspiration for the collection and are reflected in the shape of the backrest. The armchair impresses with other design features, as well as functionality and ergonomics. The seat on the Leaf armchair can be upholstered, making it suitable for long sitting sessions where greater comfort is desired.
